Held in the Auckland Domai , SKIN OF FIRE by Groupe F is a fire & light filled extravaganza. Actors interact with images projected onto the Auckland Museum. Astronauts, fire people, humanoid light creatures all feature in a world of animal skins, fire cages, and lots of fireworks. I’m a sucker for the single colour gold waterfall that glitters as it falls towards earth. Rainbow colours ripple across the Museum dome as stars burst above us. Accompanied by a thumping soundtrack that echoes off the hills and buildings around us as the smoke drifts away from the city, for a time we are suspended in a different place, where time and physics are fexible.
