ArmageddonExpo 2014

Specific comments on acting from panel guests at Armageddon Expo 2014, Wellington.

‘Always be working on something.’ Jake Abel.

“Never look to someone else’s path because that will eat you.” DJ Qualls.

‘Deliver from the heart, be emotionally connected, work on the craft of acting.’ – Manu Bennett

‘The audience always responds to relationship.’ – Manu Bennett

These are the ones I tweeted but I was impressed by the general professionalism of the actors. They could all articulate what they were putting into their characters, the relationship their characters had with others on the show, how important it was to be dedicated to the craft of acting while still working on other creative endeavours – even if those things didn’t make a lot of money.

Always be working on something – I like that 🙂

Me too! It was very interesting to hear the number of actors who were doing other things as well – writing, playing music, directing, making their own projects. It’s really rare to make a living from only being an actor, so do other things as well.
